Not overly-greasy, not too much heat (but plenty of peppers)…although it was a lot of noodles. Distances shown are straight-line distances on the map.

Subtle heat, strong galangal and lemongrass flavoring…delicious! Drunken noodles came in a sizable portion and were pretty good. The car parking and the Wi-Fi are always free, so you can stay in touch and come. The tom yum was awesome, and was easily the best item of the day. The salad was interesting…I think they just put satay sauce on top. For an $8 lunch special, you get quite a bit! We also got a choice of appetizer–I got tom yum–and a Thai salad. Today, I got drunken noodles (with chicken).

It's a mainstay in Thai cooking, has some heat, and has a buttload of basil.īut not today. I almost always get pad ka prao as my go-to Thai lunch dish. My coworkers and our "try every Thai place in the area" continued today, as we walked all the way over to Kor Tor Mor. I really want the place to succeed as it's not always easy to go to Queens for good Thai food. I am hopeful though for this 4 month old restaurant but they need to correct a few of these problems. She was also not intuitive enough to bring us plates when we were obviously sharing the main dish. After repeating our questions, she then understood. They seem to offer quite a few vegan dishes and perhaps more Indian inspired dishes than expected for a Thai restaurant. Again, the flavor was good but the execution missed the mark. The chicken biryani, an Indian dish, was tasty enough but its basmati rice was on the oily side. The flavor was good but the wrap could have been crispier. The curry puff appetizer was underdone puff pastry wrapped mashed curry chicken and potatoes. I don't like sweet milky concoctions but need a good basic coffee with my first meal. They also did not have regular coffee which I think they need to add to the menu if they open for brunch.

The skin was okay and the chili sauce masked the lackluster slightly spoiled filling. The ubiquitous spring rolls at first seemed good but the filling was just cabbage and tasted a little sour. The Thai coffee that my bf had seemed passable. Our food seemed a little slow in coming out especially since we were the only ones in restaurant at the time. We decided to have a quick Sunday brunch when they opened and we were the first customers. Unfortunately, this one was not extraordinary. My bf does not like spicy food so we tend to avoid them unless we are in Queens which has the better Thai places. I rarely go to Thai restaurants and when I do I hope they are extraordinary.
